As a Project Director in the Division of Healthcare Quality Evaluation at The Joint Commission, Michelle Dardis responsible for the development of electronic clinical quality measures (eCQMs)- quality measures that leverage health IT standards and EHR data to demonstrate the quality of care patients receive. In her tenure at The Joint Commission, Ms. Dardis has been responsible for the development and maintenance of a number of de novo and re-engineered eCQMs, including perinatal care, stroke, and patient blood management measures. Ms. Dardis also supports The Joint Commission's Pioneers in Quality program, a program designed to support hospitals in their transition to electronic quality measurement.
Ms Dardis' experience prior to joining The Joint Commission include Meaningful Use Stage 1 readiness assessments, Stage 2 eCQM analysis and clinical workflow redesign, and EHR implementation, including CPOE, clinical documentation, intraoperative documentation, quality reporting, and closed loop medication administration. She has extensive experience in clinical workflow analysis, as well as System Design Life Cycle and PDCA methodologies, and maintain certifications in Informatics Nursing, as was certified in Epic Systems’ inpatient modules, including Clinical Documentation, Procedure Orders, and Decision Support.
