Dr. Hodgkins is currently the Chief Medical Information Officer for the American Medical Association. A physician executive with more than 20 years experience in health services, clinical connectivity and e-business solutions, his focus is on strategic planning, business development and the design of solutions that integrate technology with clinical and business operations to promote cost-effective, high quality, services. Dr. Hodgkins currently leads initiatives to create new business opportunities for AMA, is responsible for AMA strategy in the digital health space and informs AMA policy with respect to all aspects of health information technology. Dr. Hodgkins also represents AMA on the boards of the Sequoia Project and Xcertia; a newly formed non-profit founded by AHA, AMA, DHX Group and HIMSS that is developing a comprehensive framework of "best practices" for the mobile health app market.
