Daniel Silverstein has more than 20 years of experience in information technology with an emphasis on health IT. Currently, his responsibilities include strategic capability and security architecture development across the Kaiser Permanente Technology Risk Office. This includes engagement of key IT and business stakeholder groups across the organization such as Digital Health, Care Delivery, Health Plan, National Facilities Services and IT BIOs. Silverstein focuses on strategic domains to include biomed, clinical technologies, mobile, big data and cloud services.
Silverstein’s career spans IT security, strategy and architecture, health electronic medical records, medical administration, database design and administration, web and software development, and project management.
Silverstein is an active participant in multiple industry consortiums including the Medical Device Information Safety and Security consortium (MDISS) and the Association for Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI).
