Dr. Colleen Hughes Driscoll is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. She received her medical training at Upstate Medical University, completed her pediatric residency training at the University of Maryland Medical Center, and her fellowship training at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Since 2011, she has practiced neonatology at the University of Maryland Medical Center, and is the Drs. Rouben and Violet Jiji Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Director of Quality Improvement. Dr. Driscoll has extensive training in healthcare delivery improvement from Intermountain Healthcare. In 2015, she led the design and implementation of a wireless text messaging system utilized for neonatal resuscitations, which involved integration of middleware and smart phone technology during the construction of a new Level IV, 52-bed NICU in the state of Maryland. This project was awarded the 2016 Intelligent Health Association Grand Award.
