As Manager of Decision Support one of the largest Accountable Care Organizations in the country, Christy Cawthon has over 13 years of experience providing analytics support for managed care contracting, and for the UT Southwestern Accountable Care Network since its inception three years ago. Within the ACO, Ms. Cawthon has been a driving force in the development and implementation of both the risk stratification and the clinical integration software in use by the ACO. As the primary interface between the clinical staff and the IT support team, Ms. Cawthon has created provider-level reports that have been used to quickly engage providers in understanding and addressing quality and utilization issues, as well as a robust clinical data repository that is used by the clinical staff to guide care coordination and community outreach activities. Additionally, serving as lead on the GPRO quality reporting to CMS, Ms. Cawthon has broad experience in the full spectrum of ACO reporting requirements, including expansion of the ACO beyond the Medicare Shared Savings Program into Medicaid, Medicare Advantage, and commercial payer agreements. Ms. Cawthon has also led the reporting requirements for a number of projects funded through the Texas 1115 waiver program. Ms. Cawthon received her Bachelor of Science from Texas A&M University and has been employed by UT Southwestern Medical Center and Accountable Care Network for over 13 years.
