This session is part of a special program called Interoperability and Health Information Exchange Symposium: The Road to Interoperability. Extra fees and registration may be required.

Description

Long-term and post- acute care providers and behavioral health providers play a critical role in care coordination as well as payment and delivery reforms. Yet these providers were not included in the Meaningful Use incentive program and are evolving along a parallel but not necessarily interoperable HIT path. Integration of these providers is occurring through efforts such as the IMPACT Act that requires standardized and interoperable data, and specific programs by HIEs.
