Description

Developing and measuring an effective compliance approach may involve a dedicated person or department, or it may be managed by several members of the healthcare team, including care providers, coders, health IT staff, quality performance staff, and leadership. Learn what it takes to develop a risk-based approach to effectively manage and allocate the resources needed to address the burden of compliance regulations and expectations.
This session is part of a special program called Compliance Symposium: Mastering Compliance: What You Must Know. Extra fees and separate registration is required.

Learning Objectives:

  • Apply privacy, security and compliance concepts in the face of the advancing wave of health IT
  • Identify how to implement and maintain a culture of compliance, making it an everyday occurrence and not a periodic burden
  • Recognize the areas of compliance relevant to your setting, such as regulatory reporting, CMS Conditions for Coverage and Conditions for Participation, and be able to design effective systems to address them
