Despite some robust functionality in electronic health record (EHR) systems, many nurses continue to develop inefficient workarounds that hinder full realization of information technology value. An informatics generated assessment tool has strong potential in helping measure caregiver efficiency with the EHR, and ultimately inform the development of EHR adoption interventions.
