Learn, share, act. Through a moderated conversation in this final session of the Forum, attendees will come together to share their knowledge and insight on the industry challenge of effective collaboration and impactful data sharing. The session facilitators will lead a Hot-Topics discussion on subjects including understanding provider and payer perspectives on interoperability, exploring challenges and opportunities for the evolution of HL7 FHIR, engaging consumers’ partnership in shared care and financial decision making through improved health literacy, assessing the impact of the Quality Payment Program/MACRA on quality reporting and improved outcomes, and employing provider and payer data to better support value-based care. The session will conclude with discussion and input from the audience on lessons learned from HIMSS17 and to identify the “next steps” options and strategies for a path forward toward improved provider-payer collaborations in this new value-based ecosystem.
