Description

Participants of the Patient Consent on HL7 FHIR® demonstration and ONC Patient Choice Technical Project will provide organizational and technical insights regarding consent management and exchange to support implementation of various privacy regulations. The presentations will describe innovative solutions involving the use of technologies such as User-Managed Access (UMA), OAuth 2.0 and HL7 Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR), Data Segmentation for Privacy (DS4P), and Security Labeling Service (SLS) standards. Additional topics to be covered include: an update on the ONC Patient Choice Technical Project, use of confidentiality and security labeling services, challenges associated with implementing 42 CFR Part 2, and various components required to electronically share specially protected health information.
