HIMSS17 TOOK PLACE IN ORLANDO, FL
February 19-23, 2017
With the passage of the Mental Health Reform Act of 2016 as part of the 21st Century Cures Act, primary care physicians, behavioral health agencies, and others can expect provisions that will strengthen leadership and accountability for federal mental health programs, increased flexibility for states and communities to improve mental health care, and increased access to mental health care, including for at-risk populations. While this is good news for not only those suffering with a mental health condition but also those delivering care, challenges and opportunities do exist related to real-time integration, data sharing, and healthcare operations. Presenters will highlight perspectives resulting in decreased readmissions, optimized revenue dollars, and providing true mobile health care delivery that benefits all stakeholders of the behavioral health community.
