Session ID:

Bringing Artificial Intelligence to the Clinical Setting

10:45am - 11:45am Monday, March 5
Las Vegas - Wynn Convention Center
Lafite 2

The adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) in healthcare is on the rise yet it can still be difficult to determine what is “hype vs. reality”. This session will take a closer look at AI, how it can be used in clinical practice, what is needed to get started, and comparisons between AI and traditional data processing methods. Discussion will focus on current use of AI to augment the delivery and payment of healthcare.
This session is part of a special program called AMDIS/HIMSS Physician Executive Symposium: Shifting from Computer Care to Patient Care. Extra fees and separate registration is required.

Learning Objectives:

  • Discuss practical real-life examples of AI affecting health that can have in impact on the work you are doing today.
  • Discuss the application of artificial intelligence to healthcare.
  • Assess the perception of AI being physician-friendly vs a physician replacement.
