Description

This case study illustrates how the application of critical principles of legacy decommissioning resulted in significant cost savings and the retirement of multiple applications while retaining access to and the meaning of vital data from the retired legacy systems. An enterprise approach led by the IT department was applied to retain end-user access to vital clinical and revenue cycle patient information. This presentation will show how the right combination of technology, process, inter-departmental cooperation and realistic planning was key to the success of an enterprise-wide decommissioning and data retention initiative.
