This session will discuss current ONC initiatives aimed at strengthening the foundation of health IT by improving data exchange and integration. CMS’s new Center for Medicare & Medicaid Innovation (CMMI) will be discussed highlighting its focus on promotion of patient-centered care and testing market-driven reforms. The impact on physicians of new strategies for empowering consumers with price transparency, increased choice and service competition will be reviewed.
This session is part of a special program called AMDIS/HIMSS Physician Executive Symposium: Shifting from Computer Care to Patient Care. Extra fees and separate registration is required.
