Description

Clinicians are interested in the efficacy of using mobile devices. This presentation discusses findings from a pilot study aimed at achieving greater mobile flexibility and productivity in patient care. The innovation that was tested was an integrated set of wireless computing and docking technologies that automatically connects a mobile tablet computer to a mobile base station and other computer peripherals without the use of cables. We report on the benefits and challenges of the vendor agnostic solution framework, implementation process, and utilization for patient care.
