Rhode Island Quality Institute (RIQI) is a center for collaborative innovation that advances health and care transformation, that leverages deep expertise in health information exchange to enable provider interoperability, and in quality improvement science and quality data analytics to drive cutting-edge practice transformation. This session will highlight RIQI’s journey to create a leading edge high-value statewide Provider Directory service underpinned by InterSystems technology.  There are numerous challenges to managing provider data both within organizations as well as across the healthcare ecosystem.  Providers have multiple, complex relationships that are constantly changing. Nationally about 25% of provider data changes every year.  RIQI will describe and discuss how they are managing this complex ecosystem, creating operational efficiencies and delivering value to their many stakeholders including large IDNs, payers, the state health department, consumers and others.  They will share lessons learned about their experience building a solution which provides value to their community while contributing to their own sustainability.
