Description

We close the CAHIMS guided sessions of the day by addressing the privacy and security concerns ALL provider organizations face. While too many LTPAC providers are unaware of the active role they need to take to ensure their systems are safe from cyber threats, the evidence is clear that privacy and security are a very real concern for LTPAC to consider. Join us for this engaging session as we discuss the challenges and opportunities LTPAC providers face in securing resident/patient data.
This session is part of a special program called Long-Term and Post-Acute Care Symposium: Digital Health in and with LTPAC Settings. Extra fees and separate registration is required.

Learning Objectives:

  • Define key differences between LTPAC and traditional healthcare provider organizations in the privacy and security of their IT systems
  • Recount at least one lesson an LTPAC provider learned when using a measured approach to guide their privacy and security efforts
  • Identify CAHIMS privacy and security competencies LTPAC provider organizations should most closely watch
