Payment reform is evolving on a daily basis. What we do know is that it will require improved quality of patient care and reduced costs. What do we need to do to be successful? Healthcare organizations need information governance (IG). IG is a healthcare program that ensures that information used for patient care and business decisions is trustworthy and available. IG is organization-wide, impacting all business units within that organizations. IG addresses all types of information in all media and formats. IG ensures the right information on the right patient at the right time. An IG program puts into place the needed infrastructure and accountability to ensure that all business units are treating information consistently and in a standardized approach. In this session, the audience will gain key insights into an IG program, the benefits realized and tools for growing your own program.
