Description

Following a series of high-profile breaches and resulting impact within and outside the healthcare industry, cybersecurity is increasingly a board-level issue and concern. Healthcare organizations are changing the way they look at cybersecurity and the impact it can have on organizations if not properly addressed. As this outlook towards cyber changes, top-level executives and boards are keen to understand cyber strategies, action plans and how their organization’s security office is working. Cyber has become a mainstream focus of healthcare organizations because there is so much at stake when it comes to patient information, including the organization’s reputation, and costs to the company when things go wrong. The more successfully executives and boards are engaged by the CISO in cyber issues, the more likely the organization is to succeed in implementing its cyber strategy and initiatives.
