Building Your Health IT Business – Keys to Success
Business Development Opportunities under the Stimulus Package and Health Reform
Learn the building blocks of building a great business from those who have done it. Join us for Building Your Business, the entrepreneurial education session sponsored by Blank Rome as part of the third annual Health IT Venture Fair.
This program will provide attendees with the opportunity to ask experienced venture capitalists, successful CEOs and professionals about capital formation, building leadership teams and growing profitability as well as offer networking opportunities with experts in these fields.
Topics will include:
- Opportunities for Health IT Companies under the Stimulus Package and Health Reform
- Business Planning: turning a compelling idea into an effective business, selecting the right leadership, building a management team and an effective board.
- Acquiring and applying capital and understanding now how funding will affect your company.
- Growing your company, including negotiating contracts, developing ventures and creating the building blocks needed to be in place to meet your benchmarks and goals.
- Handling legal issues, including corporate formation, intellectual property, and risk management.
Building Your Health IT Business will run from 8:00 – 11:00 am on Saturday, April 4 and the Venture Fair will be held from 12:00 noon - 5:30 pm.
