Pre-registration ends March 9, 2009

All registration and payments received after March 9, 2009, must pay the late registration fee. If payment is not received by CompuSystems (HIMSS' conference registrar) by March 9, 2009, you may still submit your registration with the late fee or you can register on-site. Registrations submitted after March 9, 2009, will not appear in the attendee roster distributed on-site.

Badges Will Be Mailed Prior to Conference

If pre-registered, you will receive your badge and event tickets in the mail starting approximately two weeks before the conference. Please remember to bring your badge with you to the conference. HIMSS does not ship badges internationally. International attendees can pick up their conference badges onsite.

If for some reason you do not receive your badge in the mail or if you register after the cut-off date March 9, 2009, please print out your registration confirmation with your bar-code on it and you will be able to collect your badge at any self registration kiosk onsite.

Registration Confirmation

Expect your conference registration confirmation 5-10 business days after the receipt of your registration if your registration is received by March 9, 2009.

Cancellation/Refund Policy

Full conference registrations, exhibit hall only passes, and single day registrations, less a $100 cancellation fee, are refundable only if submitted in writing to himss09cancel@himss.org on or before March 9, 2009. Registrations and cancellations received after March 9, 2009, are not refundable. You may not reinstate a registration after you cancel it. HIMSS membership fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. If you cancel and are entitled to a refund, expect the refund within 60 days post-conference. No refunds for any pre-conference workshops, symposiums, optional events or HIMSS membership will be given. Faxed and Website registrations must be charged to Visa, Mastercard, American Express or Discover. No purchase orders are accepted.
All refunds will be issued by check. Credit cards will not be directly refunded.
Registrants unable to attend may send a substitute. If the substitute is not a member, the non-member fee will be required. Substitutions must be made in writing to CompuSystems (himss09@compusystems.com).
HIMSS reserves the right to cancel or reschedule programs and to close registration when programs are sold out. For these reasons, registrants are advised against purchasing non-refundable airline tickets.
Should the HIMSS conference be cancelled, your registration fee will not be refunded but will automatically be applied to the next Annual HIMSS Conference & Exhibition.

Student Rate Policy

To qualify for the student rate, undergraduate applicants must be enrolled in no less than twelve (12) hours of classes during the spring semester of 2009. Graduate students must be enrolled in no less than nine (9) hours of classes during the spring semester of 2009 to qualify for the student rate.

In order to complete registration, a copy of a valid Student ID and Current Full-Time Class Schedule is required. Once registered please fax to 708-786-5568.

Other Policies

I agree not to copy or permit to be copied, in any form or format, without the express written permission of HIMSS, any of the contents of the HIMSS 2009 attendee roster. I also agree not to use the roster contents for any commercial, marketing, promotional, or political purposes. No solicitation is permitted by anyone except by exhibitors within the confinement of their booth.
By registering for the conference you are providing permission to receive emails, mailings and faxes related to the conference. If you wish to opt out of receiving any of these materials you may do so by emailing the HIMSS office at annualconference@himss.org
For security reasons, badge swapping is not permitted. Anyone found wearing a badge that does not match his/her identification will be evicted from the conference without a refund. In addition, the badge/name will be cancelled without a refund.
By registering, I agree to all the terms and conditions set forth above including the use of photographic images. Noncompliance will result in registration cancellation without refund.
