Media Registration for HIMSS09
The Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS) welcomes members of the media to the 2009 Annual HIMSS Conference & Exhibition, April 4-8, 2009, in Chicago, Ill. at McCormick Place Convention Center.

Qualifications and Guidelines

Registration is complimentary for professional journalists who are attending the conference to provide editorial coverage and who meet the eligibility criteria described below.

You must be currently employed by a publication with a general circulation, OR
You must be currently employed with a recognized (network, cable, independent) news organization. Television and radio stations must maintain a regular news department.
You also may be required to submit credential information to support your qualifications. If so, HIMSS will contact you upon receipt of your media registration form.

Registration

Media Advance Registration
The deadline to request media credentials in advance and online is March 23, 2009.

Media Registration On-Site
After March 23, 2009, media must request credentials on-site in the HIMSS News Room, Room 20a-c, West Building, Hyatt Rooms, at McCormick Place.

The News Room will be open for registration at 7:30 a.m. each morning, beginning Saturday, April 4. Please review the media qualifications and bring all documentation with you to register on-site. Note that on-site registration is not immediate and may take a few hours to process. HIMSS strongly encourages media to request credentials online before March 23.

Picking Up Media Credentials
Media must pick up media credentials on-site in the HIMSS News Room, Room 20a-c, West Building, Hyatt Rooms, at McCormick Place beginning on Saturday, April 4 at 7:30 a.m. Media credentials are not mailed to members of the media.
