HIMSS believes it is important for you as a proposal submitter to understand the ways in which your proposal is evaluated. The information below provides you with a broader understanding of the HIMSS call process, review process, and selection process. Please take some time to study the entire process, so that you can best position your proposal for potential selection.

Proposals are scored based on the following criteria by the Annual Conference Education Committee.

Call for Proposal Deadlines 2009-2010

March 16: Call for Annual Conference Proposal opens via Web site
May 29: Call for Annual Conference Proposal closes
June 5-July15: Reviewers read and evaluate proposals (scoresheets) via review site
August 11-September 5: Reviewers and ACEC members discuss via audioconference proposal selections
October 2: ACEC Committee members meet to schedule final program selection
October 7: Proposal submitters notified of proposal acceptance/decline status
January 12: First draft of presentation materials due to reviewer and HIMSS
January 29: Final speaker presentation materials due
March 1-March 4: 2010 Annual HIMSS Conference & Exhibition, Atlanta
