The purpose of this webpage is to provide Annual Conference speakers with information that can prepare them for their presentation at HIMSS11.

Session Schedule

To find a speaker session, go to the education section of this website, and enter the last name of the primary speaker for the required session and hit enter. Session information, including the date and time of the session, will be returned with the search result. All dates/times are final.

Registration

Pre-conference Symposium and Workshop speakers receive a complimentary registration for the session at which they are speaking and a $100 discount for the HIMSS Annual Conference and Exhibition. General Conference Education speakers (including Roundtables and E-sessions) receive a complimentary registration. However, all speakers must register for the conference using the comp code provided to them by their HIMSS education department point of contact. If speakers choose to attend any optional events, payment will be required.

Registrations are not transferrable.

Hotel

Symposium, Workshop and General Conference Education speakers (including Roundtables and E-sessions) are responsible for making their own hotel and travel arrangements and expenses. Please make hotel reservations as soon as possible. Hotels in the area fill up quickly.

AV

All speakers must sign a HIMSS11 AV form.

The following is considered standard equipment for all general education conference session rooms, and will be provided (at no charge):

There is an additional charge for any AV equipment NOT listed as part of the Standard Equipment. This charge is the speaker’s responsibility. To order additional AV equipment, please request an order form from your HIMSS education department point of contact.

NOTE: Speakers will not need to bring their laptops to the conference to run their presentations. However, we do request that they bring a back-up of their presentations loaded on a flash drive.

If speakers plan on running a product demo or video as part of their presentation, please be aware that this will require additional equipment which will incur additional expenses not covered as part of the standard AV package listed above. Please notify your HIMSS education department point of contact if additional equipment will be required.

PLEASE NOTE: Charges for any additional equipment are the speaker’s responsibility.
