Media Credentials

Please review the requirements for receiving your HIMSS media credentials. Once you submit your registration form, you may be contacted by HIMSS and asked to provide the required documentation in order to receive media credentials for the conference. 

Pre-Conference Sessions

Attendance at the HIMSS pre-conference workshops and symposia, held on Sunday, February 25, are complimentary to the media. Please refer to the Education section for more detail on these sessions.

General Sessions

All general sessions, technical, panel and poster presentations plus entrance to the exhibit hall are complimentary to members of the media who receive media credentials from HIMSS.

Wednesday Night Special Event

Register and pay for this event on-site at the conference. Payment is accepted by check or money order made payable to HIMSS or by credit card.

Media Badge Distribution

Pick up your badge at the HIMSS News room, Room W314B, at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando.The "W" means that the News Room is located in the West Building of the Convention Center.

Badges will not be mailed in advance. Media who miss the pre-registration deadline may register on-site in the HIMSS News Room. Refer to Media Registration Guidelines and bring the required documentation to register on-site.

Housing

Members of the media who are attending the annual HIMSS conference must make their hotel reservations through the HIMSS official housing and travel bureau, Ambassadors Service Group. You do not need to be registered for the conference to make hotel reservations.

Registration Confirmation

You will receive a letter via e-mail from CompuSystems Inc, the HIMSS conference registration company, confirming your registration and approval for media credentials in 5-15 business days after the receipt of your registration - if received by February 15, 2008. HIMSS will contact you to confirm your registration.
