Series A – Pitch Competition Eligibility Requirements

The HIMSS VentureConnect Forum supports new health technology companies seeking funding, visibility, networking and growth opportunities at the 2018 HIMSS Conference & Exhibition. We are currently seeking applications from early- to growth-stage companies with health technology products, services or solutions to present at the HIMSS VentureConnect Forum pitch competition at HIMSS18 on March 7, 2018 in Las Vegas.

This competition puts "Series A ready" companies center stage as they compete to be recognized as the most fundable startup from venture capitalists and corporate investors.

The capital raised during a Series A is usually intended to capitalize the company for 6 months to 2 years as it develops its products, performs initial marketing and branding, hires its initial employees, and otherwise undertakes early-stage business operations. Please note that HIMSS VentureConnect Forum is not a business plan competition or a pre-seed contest.

This year’s competition will offer two tracks: companies with consumer-facing solutions and companies with professional-facing solutions. The competing companies should meet the following criteria to be eligible for consideration to present:

  1. Privately held and for-profit
  2. Ready for Series A in the $2–$12M range
  3. Ability to provide evidence of traction with customers

The finalists will work with our selected group of expert mentors to improve their pitches for the stage. All applications are due by Thursday, December 14, 2017 at 11:59 pm ET.
