Meaningful Use Experience: Forging EHR Company and Healthcare Provider Partnerships

February 6, 2013

According to a recent KLAS report, oncology providers are struggling with regulatory adherence and are seeking out help from EHR companies. “The vast majority of oncology providers interviewed indicates that they are planning to attest for Meaningful Use, but vendors differ in their ability to partner with providers in that effort” says Bernie Monegain in her Healthcare IT News story on the report.

Furthermore, it’s unclear if vendors are hearing oncology providers’ EHR concerns in regards to:

• Alerts;
• Reporting;
• Meaningful Use attestation; and
• Patient portal adoption

This raises the question: How can EHR companies better collaborate with providers to ease their growing concerns of meeting Meaningful Use requirements?

The lines of communication will be opened in March at HIMSS’ inaugural Meaningful Use Experience on the HIMSS13 exhibition floor. Through demonstrations and presentations, attendees will be able evaluate proven, certified EHR products and services side-by-side, meet with company representatives and hear firsthand from the users of these solutions.
