Native American Health Symposium: Next Generation of Healthcare for Tribal Communities
The landscape for Healthcare Information Technology has dramatically changed for tribes, tribal health systems and communities. Tribal leaders must now walk a path that is littered with obstacles and challenges that could prevent them from providing quality healthcare. Tribal leaders are held accountable and are responsible for the health and well-being of their citizens and the tribal communities they serve. So, the vision to see and choose the right path to take is a long and arduous undertaking.
With these challenges and obstacles in mind, the Native American IT Symposium will feature organizations that will address critical topics such as collaboration, funding, technology, training and tribal health IT workforce to help with the many challenges and obstacles that tribal leaders now face.
After attending this symposium attendees will gain a better understanding of:
- Program funding from Regional Extension Center
- Native Health IT workforce program
- Understand the role of EHR integrated care coordinator
- Networking through a National Tribal Health Group
- Current Technologies
